TOURNAMENT RULES
The rule set every CSC competitor agrees to at sign-up. Read carefully before you register.
MATCH LENGTH
Tournament matches: 5 minutes. Superfight title bouts: 10 minutes. Sudden-victory overtime if tied (1 round, EBI rules).
SCORING
Submission-only at brown belt and above. Points scoring (IBJJF) for white through purple. Stalling warnings escalate to negative points and DQ.
WEIGH-INS
Weigh-in opens 24 hours before the event and closes 60 minutes before bell time. 1 lb allowance for gi divisions.
ILLEGAL TECHNIQUES
Heel hooks (white/blue), reaping, neck cranks, and slams from guard are prohibited below brown belt. See full rule book for division-specific exceptions.
GI / NO-GI
Both formats run on most cards. Gi divisions require IBJJF-approved gi. No-gi requires rash guard + board shorts/spats (no pockets, no zippers).
BELT VERIFICATION
Bring proof of rank or registration on a recognized federation. CSC reserves the right to move competitors up a belt division.
REFEREES
Bouts officiated by certified IBJJF/UAEJJF/AGF referees. Referee decision is final.
DISPUTES
Coaches may file a written protest within 5 minutes of the call, accompanied by a $100 protest fee (refundable if upheld).
